Who's Behind Poker Exploit?
I've been playing poker since 2013, and Poker Exploit started for a pretty selfish reason: I wanted a tool that did what I needed it to do.
At first, I mainly wanted to identify patterns in how opponents played based on the cards they had shown. Not just look at a player's stats and see a bunch of percentages, but actually try to understand what their revealed hands could tell me about how they played. That's how Reveal started.
Then I thought it would be useful to take that information and build strategies around the weaknesses of the player pool. So I started working on an exploitative solver.
Then came the tracker. Existing tools already did a lot, but there were stats I wanted to see that I couldn't quite get the way I wanted. So I built my own.
And each time, more or less the same thing happened. I'd want a feature, build it, and then realize there was something else missing. Eventually, I found myself building a whole collection of tools: hand analysis, ranges, a replayer, a HUD, a solver, and more.
At some point, I started wondering why all these tools had to live in separate programs. Why switch from one piece of software to another when they could share information and work together?
That's how the project gradually turned into what Poker Exploit is today.
A bit of background: I have two master's degrees in applied mathematics and a PhD in computer science and applied mathematics. I've been working in software development since 2021. That background obviously helped me build the project, but this didn't start with a business plan. I was just trying to solve my own problems at the poker tables.
Eventually, I figured other players might have the same needs. So I decided to turn what I'd built for myself into a more polished product and make it available to others.
That's still what drives me today: building the tools I wish I'd had myself, and making sure they actually work well together.
